I get the compairison, but I don't know if Hitler and Sadam are exactly the figures that you want to use...
I read the charimsa news article. It didn't sound like Jenkins and Lahaye were saying THEY were right as is clear in this quote..."Regardless of where people stand on the interpretation of biblical prophecy, no one believes Jesus will return again as a baby," Jenkins explained. Lahaye was saying this show is completely off base with the entire Bible. The interpretation of Revelation can go different ways and no one truly knows which is right. But some things are clrearly wrong. I watched the first episode, and it twisted scripture in unbelievable ways. Verses that had nothing to do with Revelation were used simply to add to the show. It was very weird and unbiblical and made Christians look like frighteningly strange people.
Be careful of criticizing Lahaye and Jenkins. Although they may be wrong, other interpretations of Revalation may appear just as bogus from their side. And we won't truly know all of the details until...well, until we know. Regardless, they're books have led many people to seek God and accept Christ. Just a thought. Keep up the blogging. I want to try to start one this summer since I'll have time with no school. Later, Mike. Tell April I said hi.
I agree that the show is twisted I just thought it ironic coming form Lahye, since he is the master of Christian fiction. Though I am thankful that God has used his ministry to save so many.
