When recently asked to briefly describe this blog I wrote this: A thoughtful look at issues plaguing today’s evangelicals. That is what this post will address an issue that is plaguing evangelical youth groups across the country. There is an epidemic sweeping youth groups and I will simply call it "gosh".
I place the blame for this solely on the movie Napoleon Dynamite.
We all know that there is pressure on every youth groupie to be funny and hip all at the same time; we also all know that not everyone can cut it. Some are just not blessed with the gift of humor, but recently bad jokes, stupid jokes have been counted funny by people all across this great nation. The reason for this is one simple word - "gosh".
Countless times I have heard attempts at humor fail miserably only to followed by a "gosh", and this for some reason elicits a roaring laugh from all those within earshot. It is time to take a stand against this assault on humor and wake people up.
If you are not funny adding gosh to the end of a sentence does not make it a good joke!
GOSH!

Yeah, actually it can make a really stupid or not so funny statement mildly entertaining. GOSH!
