I sit and write this amazed, astonished and mesmerized. Why might this be you ask. I just finished reading five chapters in the Gospel of John. I read the very words Jesus spoke; I read how he interacted with people and how he loved sinners. I was a witness to how John the Baptizer prepared the way for Jesus. I saw how all creation is under submission to the Father and how the Father has a plan to rescue all of creation by sending His son as a ransom for many.
We long for Jesus; we hunger to know who He is. Read the Gospel. When you look into the life of the son of God, very God of very God, you become amazed and entranced.
When I read the red letters the words of the savior are like a gentle breeze blowing across my face, refreshing. When I hear him explain his mission and then find out the motive is love, it is like the sweetest song that my ears have ever heard. Jesus is good.
Taste and see that the Lord is good. Read the red letters and look into the heart of God. When he speaks hear the authority, when he purifies the temple hear the passion, when he teaches hear the sincerity.
When I read the Gospels I see a man who came to earth and turned it upside down. Who ignored cultural taboos and loved radically. A man who gave no mind to the verdict handed down by the court of popular opinion, and taught with authority the true word of God. Jesus was scorned by the ones he came to save and he loved the ones who scorned Him.
The red letters are ointment gently place on my open wounds of rebellion. They bring healing and they bring comfort and they are ours. Jesus is good and He has given himself to us. Let us cling to him and feast on him and may hearts be changed by the Word made flesh.

I take that as an extreme complement. Thankyou
